The Karen Ryan Group offers personalized, expert coaching to meet the individual needs of its clients. Sessions are confidential and are focused on developing effective communications strategies that reflect each client's personality and style.

Media Coaching

EXECUTIVE ONE-ON-ONE
For CEOs and other top-level executives who serve as the primary media spokesperson. Sessions are designed to achieve maximum impact from television, radio and print interviews. Clients also get an insider's view on how television news works so that they can respond more effectively to media inquiries.

Sessions are typically a half-day and are conducted at the client's offices. Clients participate in at least two practice on-camera, taped interviews using a professional news crew. Coaches and clients review the interviews together to determine where improvements can be made to style, content and delivery.

MANAGMENT MEDIA COACHING
For executives and managers who deal with the media but are not main corporate spokespeople. Sessions are a full day, and are held in a small group format at the client's office. At least two coaches lead the training sessions, which include two practice
on-camera taped interviews with a professional camera crew. Interviews are reviewed by coaches and clients and improvement tips are provided.

PRESENTATION COACHING
Sessions help build public speaking and presentation skills.
From CEO to salesperson this training focuses on developing
speeches and presentations that maintain audience attention and
highlight core messages. Each participant will be given guidance
on effective speech writing, and graphic presentations. A
brief speech or presentation will be videotaped and critiqued
by trainers.

ROAD SHOW AND INVESTOR PRESENTATIONS
To be successful as an entrepreneur seeking funding, or as the spokesperson for a start-up company, you must quickly gain the attention of both media and industry analyst. These sessions help company executives clarify and define messages, and learn how to overcome the "prove it" or "show me" objections. Executive presentations will be videotaped and evaluated to identify areas for improvement.

CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS
Readiness is a critical component in damage control. Our crisis communications training sessions help companies avoid the "wait until it's too late" scenario by developing strategies to counter negative publicity and maintain a good company image through difficult times. Our coaches, who are industry experts and have been in the hot seat, will look at the crisis from all sides — client, vendor, public relations and press — and provide insights on ways to keep and maintain or regain public and investor confidence in the wake of a crisis.
